Alicia started sewing around the age of 10. Her first creations were inspired by her dolls and Barbies. Candace, Alicia’s mom formally taught Alicia how to sew using patterns and an old Singer sewing machine that was a hand me down from Grandma Alicia took to sewing and began creating clothes, costumes and anything she could dream up. She started selling her creations to friends at school. Alicia still enjoys sewing and sells her creations on her Etsy site and Hi Octane Jewelry. She has also passed on her sewing knowledge to her 3 sons and daughter and any friends along the way who have desired to learn.
